On Our Way to see the World!

Our trip started on Sunday afternoon, May 25, 2008. We left our house in Redmond, USA, around 2:30pm. It was a beautiful day in Redmond. I don’t know what I was thinking to go away from a really nice weather to a really hot weather like Thailand. Nicholas was excited and looking forward for his adventure trips. I am a little nervous about the trips. I have never travel alone this far with Nicholas without Scott, my husband.

Nicholas was very good on the plane. He kept himself busy drawing, writing and playing game. I was surprise and please with him. My son has grown.

Nicholas has packed his backpack; everything goes there. I was fascinated to see what Nicholas put in his backpack. He loves to collect things that he has not seen before or we do not have it at home. He expressed to me that he would like to share all these with his Dad and friends. I remember we went to 7-eleven store (by the way, 7-eleven is his favorite store in Thailand.) He got some candy. He had one and kept the rest for his Dad to try when we get home, and some other time he kept for his friends, Salina, Sean and Nathan. He was always thinking of them. I used to worry with only a child in our house my son would not learn how to share, but so far I have learn that he is very good in sharing.

We arrived in Bangkok, Thailand. My brother, Moo, was there to pick us up. Wow! It was very hot. We did not get much sleep because of the jet-lag.

The next morning, we went to an open market. It was so good to be there and see familiar food, vegetables and fruits. Nicholas did not have much of an appetite. I think because of the weather it is too hot.

We were leaving for Australia the next day.
